Description
The WE4D (Promoting Women's Employment for the Ecological Transition in Africa) program is a regional initiative aimed at sustainably improving African women's access to decent jobs in sectors related to the ecological transition. The program combines economic inclusion, skills development, and support for green businesses to simultaneously address the challenges of female unemployment and the climate transformation of African economies. Its intervention strategy is based on an integrated approach centered on green value chains, partnerships with the private sector, and women's entrepreneurial development. WE4D finances and supports job-creating projects in sectors with high potential for sustainable growth, while also strengthening the capacities of SMEs, training institutions, and public actors.
