Description

The Market-Oriented Digital Platform for the Financial Inclusion of Smallholder Farmers (SDMo4SFI - Senegal Digital Market-Oriented Initiative for Women Smallholder Farmers Economic Empowerment and Financial Inclusion) program aims to develop a market-oriented digital platform to connect Senegalese smallholder farmers to formal financial services and digitized agricultural value chains. This platform will enable the integration of market data, access to digital financial products (banking services, microcredit, payments), financial education tools, and intermediation services between farmers, financial institutions, and business partners.

Objectives

🌾 Increase agricultural productivity:
Improve yields through access to market data (prices, supply/demand) and best practices for smallholder farmers.

💰 Improve rural financial inclusion:
Facilitate access to appropriate digital services (nanocredit, digital savings) for rural residents and women farmers.

👩 Empower women farmers:
Prioritize women-owned farms and women-led cooperatives through a gender-sensitive platform.

📈 Promote inclusive growth:
Support agricultural value chains for sustainable economic growth in rural areas.
