Description

The Social Safety Nets Project – Resilient to Shocks (PSSN-RSC) is a national social protection program designed to provide adapted and responsive safety nets in the face of economic, climate, and health shocks. It combines social cash transfers, income-generating activities, and community resilience activities to protect vulnerable households and strengthen their human and economic capital.

Objectives

• Protecting against immediate shocks:
Providing emergency cash transfers to preserve human capital during disasters.

💼 Developing economic opportunities:
Providing livelihood opportunities and income-generating activities for vulnerable populations.

📑 Institutional strengthening:
Establishing a single social registry and strengthening administrative capacity is essential to ensuring sustainable social protection.

👥 Improving household resilience:
Reducing vulnerability through access to employment and targeted training (women, youth).
