Description

The MOSALA project (“Work” in Lingala) aims to sustainably strengthen the alignment between the skills produced by the vocational training system and the needs of the Congolese labor market. It supports the implementation of a national employment and skills training policy while modernizing key public employment services. Its approach is based on three complementary levers: improving governance of the employment sector, developing training programs aligned with the needs of businesses in sectors driving economic diversification, and strengthening support mechanisms for employment and entrepreneurship to facilitate the sustainable professional integration of young people, with a particular focus on women and vulnerable individuals.

Objectives

🎯 Strengthen employment governance:
Implement a national employment policy based on reliable data and an effective labor market information system.

🎓 Improve the quality of vocational training:
Adapt training programs to the needs of businesses in priority sectors.

👩‍💼 Facilitate the professional integration of young people:
Support young people towards sustainable employment through public employment services and support programs.

⚖️ Reduce inequalities in access:
Promote access to skills-based training and decent work for women, vulnerable youth, and those far removed from the job market.
