Regional Programme for the Integration of Agricultural Markets

The Regional Programme for the Integration of Agricultural Markets (PRIMA) is an IFAD regional initiative designed to strengthen economic integration between Togo and Benin through the development of agricultural markets. The programme is based on an integrated territorial approach that combines improving market infrastructure, opening up access to production areas, modernizing family farming, and promoting rural entrepreneurship. Its intervention strategy aims to sustainably link family farmers, cooperatives, processors, traders, and transporters to national and sub-regional markets in order to boost rural incomes while enhancing food security and regional agricultural trade.
