Description

The TransAgri CI program is designed as a lever for Ivorian agricultural policy, aiming to accelerate the transition to sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture. Its intervention strategy is based on an integrated support approach, combining land tenure security, producer training (particularly in agroecology), and value chain structuring. The program seeks to bridge the gap between small-scale agriculture and the demands of local and international markets by empowering farmers' organizations (FOs), making them more autonomous, efficient, and capable of negotiating with the private sector. The objective is to move beyond mere production to integrate risk management and the value chain.

Objectives

📈 Improve sustainable productivity:
Train 50,000 farmers (40% of whom will be women) in agroecological techniques and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for increased yields and greater climate resilience.

💼 Structure key value chains:
Strengthen the management capacities and formalization of 500 Farmers' Organizations (FOs) to improve their access to markets, credit, and inputs.

💰 Promote financial inclusion:
Deploy agricultural microfinance mechanisms to facilitate access to financing for productive investments by FOs and young rural entrepreneurs.

️ Secure rural land tenure:
Accelerate the registration and certification of agricultural land for smallholder farmers, thereby reducing conflicts and encouraging long-term investments.
