Description

The Africa-Europe Digital Innovation Bridge (AEDIB 2.0) program is a strategic Africa-Europe initiative aimed at structuring an integrated digital innovation ecosystem. The program acts as a platform connecting startups, SMEs, investors, and policymakers to remove barriers to the growth of African digital businesses. Its intervention strategy is based on strengthening pan-African international humanitarian law (IHL), transcontinental collaboration, and funding for innovative startups with a climate impact.

Objectives

🚀 Strengthen innovation ecosystems:
Develop and interconnect Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) in Africa to support local startups.

🌍 Facilitate transcontinental collaborations:
Promote collaborations between innovators, investors, and public authorities in Africa and Europe.

💰 Improve access to finance:
Provide grants and ensure investment readiness for innovative digital SMEs.

📈 Drive digital/green transitions:
Deploy climate-friendly digital solutions with appropriate financing and policies.
