The Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Systems program aims to sustainably strengthen agricultural production in Togo through the development of climate-smart irrigation. Its approach focuses on simultaneously enhancing human capacity, the organization of public and private stakeholders, and agricultural value chains, as well as fostering the adoption of innovative technologies—particularly solar-powered irrigation systems. The program’s intervention strategy targets the entire irrigation ecosystem: skills development, institutional strengthening, value chain structuring, the dissemination of climate-resilient technical solutions, and the professionalization of producers, all with the goal of sustainably increasing food availability and the competitiveness of the agrifood sector.
