Description

The Investing in Women for a Greener Economy in Benin (IFEV-Benin) program is a financing and support initiative aimed at increasing the economic participation of women entrepreneurs in sectors with a high environmental impact. It is based on addressing structural constraints (access to finance, skills, social norms) while directing investments towards activities compatible with a green and resilient economy.

Objectives

💰 Facilitating access to finance:
Loans through 2 microfinance institutions for approximately 2,000 micro-enterprises.

🚀 Improving the performance of women-owned SMEs:
Grants and technical support for 5 women-led SMEs, strengthening their sustainability.

👥 Strengthening women's cooperatives:
Providing grants and training to 2,500 members on the use of efficient agricultural technologies.

📈 Empowering women economically:
Strengthening participation in a green economy through innovation and resilience to climate change.
