Mangroves Conservation in Senegal (Natur’ELLES)

Natur’ELLES is a climate adaptation and mangrove conservation program aimed at strengthening the resilience of vulnerable coastal communities in Senegal, with a particular focus on women. Its approach is based on adopting Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to restore mangrove ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, strengthen ecosystem services, and support sustainable economic activities linked to natural resources. The project combines ecological restoration, participatory governance, economic empowerment, and women’s leadership to position local communities as key players in sustainable mangrove management.
