Industrial Acceleration, Competitiveness and Employment Support Program (PAAICE)

The PAAICE is a results-oriented support program that aims to accelerate the industrialization and competitiveness of priority value chains in Senegal in order to stimulate economic recovery and the creation of sustainable jobs. It combines financial interventions (guarantees, grants, loans), technical assistance (capacity building, formalization, quality assurance, market access), and institutional support (improving the business climate, policy coordination). Interventions primarily target SMEs, local entrepreneurs (with a specific focus on women and youth), and the technical and financial structures that facilitate industrial investment.

• Industrial acceleration Modernize production units and support productive investments to increase local processing and added value. • Strengthening competitiveness Improve the standards, quality, and business capabilities of companies to facilitate access to national and international markets. • Creating sustainable jobs Generate direct and indirect employment through the expansion of production units and the strengthening of value chains (with a focus on women and youth). • Facilitating access to finance Implement guarantees and financial instruments to reduce the perceived risk for lenders and mobilize credit for MSMEs.
