Description
The National Program to Support Integrated Livestock Development - Phase 1 (PNDIES-P1) is one of Senegal's main structuring programs in the livestock sector. It aims to sustainably modernize livestock value chains by improving productivity, processing, marketing, and the professionalization of stakeholders. Based on a comprehensive intervention approach, this program integrates infrastructure, technological innovations, access to market opportunities, resilience to climate challenges, and the promotion of rural entrepreneurship. Its activities focus specifically on the dairy, meat, poultry, beekeeping, and animal feed segments, with the ultimate goal of strengthening national food sovereignty and reducing dependence on imports of processed animal products.
