Description

The Program for Promoting Private Sector Competitiveness in Togo (ProComp) aims to boost the competitiveness of Togo’s private sector by supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in the agricultural and agri-food sectors. The intervention strategy focuses on strengthening the public and private support institutions (at the meso-level) that advise and assist MSMEs, rather than providing direct support to individual companies. Its approach involves simultaneously addressing key factors that constrain competitiveness: improving supply chains, facilitating access to finance and international markets, promoting sustainable investment, and enhancing the business environment through public-private dialogue.

Objectives

📈 Boosting SME competitiveness:
Sustainably improving the performance of Togolese businesses.

💰 Facilitating access to finance:
Developing financial services tailored to SME needs.

🌍 Increasing access to international markets:
Enabling businesses to export more and boost their visibility.

🤝 Improving the business climate:
Strengthening public-private dialogue to enhance economic reforms and the investment environment.
