Sustainable Agricultural Transformation Program

The Sustainable Agricultural Transformation Program (SATP) is the World Bank’s primary instrument for supporting the structural transformation of Togolese agriculture. Structured in two phases (Phase I: 2025–2029; Phase II: 2029–2034), it aims to sustainably improve agricultural productivity, strengthen the competitiveness of priority value chains, boost agri-food exports, and enhance producer resilience to climate change. Its intervention strategy is based on strengthening agricultural institutions, improving productive infrastructure, disseminating climate-smart agricultural technologies, integrating small-scale producers into value chains, and mobilizing increased private investment in the agribusiness sector.

Promote climate-smart agricultural practices and reduce farm vulnerability.

🏭 Stimulate agro-industrial processing:
Generate greater local value added within priority value chains.

💼 Create jobs and attract private investment:
Foster agricultural entrepreneurship, the establishment of young farmers, and investment in the agro-industry.
